D.I.Y suéter de caveirinhas
It’s been some time I’m anxious to put this ideia into practice: sewing skull pendants in a sweater *.*
The idea is not very different from this one (remember the blouse with pearls?), but I decided to share it with you, after all it’s one more option if you want to customize without spending much :)
Materials:
♥ Pin and needle
♥ Line (in a color similar to either the sweater or the pendants)
♥ Pendants
♥ Sweater
In case you want some extra shine you may need as well:
♥ Strass*, glue for strass and a pick :)
* I had thought about gluing blue strass in the skull’s eyes to make it more interesting, but I chose golden because I may want to remove the skulls and put them in another sweater someday (it’s difficult to find them here).
*Tips*
♥ This tip is a little weird to explain but, there we go: I suggest that you put on the sweater and mark where you want the pendants to be in this region in a way to avoid placing them in the breasts (it may get strange if it’s centralized :P haha)
♥ It’s better to use flat pendants (not too thick ones). Unfortunately I couldn’t find flatter ones I liked and I chose these which are about he same size of the pearls I used in the other sweater. Bigger pendants might be uncomfortable!
Ok, tips over! Now it’s simple:
1. If you want, glue the strass to the pendants!
2. After marking the places with pins*, sew each pendant
* This time I didn’t measure each position exactly (I marked just by looking) and I loved the result, but if you like everything in the right place you can do as I taught here!
Voilà! Your skull (or any other pendant, of course!) sweater is ready :)
There are many ways to place the pendants, such as: only in the front (as I did), on the shoulders, above the chest, only on the sleeves and front, etc. just use your creativity!
Oh, when you wash it you’d better do it by hand, ok?
